Install Internet Information Services (IIS) – Windows 10
Internet Information Services, or IIS, is a technology
included in Windows which provides a security-enhanced, easy-to-manage web
server for developing and reliably hosting web applications and web services. This allows organizations to deliver rich,
web-based experiences. IIS is not
enabled by default on the Windows Desktop editions and must manually be turned
on. The following provides steps
necessary to install IIS features in Windows 10.
1.
Press Windows
key + R keys in combination
2.
Type appwiz.cpl
in Open: box
3.
Press Enter
or select OK
a.
Select Turn
Windows features on or off from left panel menu
b.
Expand Internet
Information Services tree by clicking on plus (+) sign
i. Select
all unchecked boxes to turn on all
available features
ii. Select
OK

Installation process may take a few minutes
iii. Select
Close once Windows completed the
requested changes displays
